The ChrisMartenson.com Team

Chris Martenson’s efforts are supported by a small but passionate team of both volunteers and part-time paid employees who help deliver the web site, manage subscriptions, and generally bring you the Crash Course and all the rest of Chris Martenson’s work.

Becca Martenson

Becca has been a part of the CM team from the very beginning, is deeply versed in the Crash Course material, and has been a student of the economy for the past six years. She has assisted in every seminar and workshop Chris has facilitated, her primary role being to help participants move through the emotional issues that arise when encountering the material for the first time.

When not working with Chris or homeschooling their three children, Becca serves as Board President of the Vermont Wilderness School. She also works as a private consultant, helping individuals create positive change in their lives through visioning and strategic planning. Becca and Chris have been married for 18 years.

Ron Shimshock

Ron is a technology and business strategy consultant, CEO of the Shimshock Group, and founder of Freeople, an online community for empowering pro-freedom supporters and candidates.

Ron serves as Chris' technology adviser and system implementation consultant, helping to transform Chris' information delivery ideas into reality. Ron has been actively involved in the design and development of the website and overall technical architecture, and will be helping Chris implement new online offerings in the future. He is also a long-time supporter of the concepts Chris has put forth in the Crash Course, and is excited about the opportunity to help share Chris' message with others.

Amanda Witman

Amanda is a writer and copy editor whose background includes assisting executives in the book publishing and public television industries.

Amanda handles communications, administrative support, subscription and technical support, and content management for ChrisMartenson.com. She attended a local Crash Course seminar in 2006 and began helping Chris by volunteering her copyediting skills. Amanda and her husband homeschool their four children in rural New England.

Lucas Altic

Lucas is a production and engineering manager for a large biodiesel company, a web entrepreneur, and a passionate student of many of the issues brought fourth in the Crash Course.

Lucas manages the Martenson Brigade, our troupe of volunteers who actively promote the Crash Course message on YouTube and social networking sites. By closely coordinating with other like-minded volunteers, Lucas' mission is to spread the word about the Crash Course and material found on ChrisMartenson.com to the widest audience possible.

Megan Walsh

Megan came to Western Massachusetts from New York and has a background as an educator, freelance writer and small business owner. Megan joined the ChrisMartenson.com team in February 2009 in a "jack of all trades" role, assisting with publicity, event planning, communications, bookkeeping and administrative tasks.

Tito Crafts

Tito comes from the independent film industry and, more recently, the presidential campaign trail.

These two different trajectories come together in his work for ChrisMartenson.com. Tito acts as the in-house media project manager, as well as handling graphic design, web content and general office administrative tasks. He has been on the team since February 2009.

Michelle Menegaz

Michelle is a former public school elementary teacher turned homeschooling homesteader with additional experience in environmental education, private school alumni administration, and citizen action education.

Michelle is the person who will respond to most letters you send in to the site. She makes sure that any suggestions get to the right staff members quickly. She is also helping to process donations.
