CC DVD / DVDRIP BitTorrent Download
Both PAL and NTSC Crash Course DVD ISOs are now available for download using BitTorrent at
http://torrentchannel.com/Chris_Martenso...
There is additionally a 700 MB dvdrip (transcoded from the NTSC dvd ISO) available.DVDs are seeded by one slow and one fast server each, DVDRIP is seeded by 3 fast servers.
Thanks, didn't notice that page before.
http://www.chrismartenson.com/make-your-... says that "We are making this fantastic video product available for free under the condition that it be copied exactly, without modification."
How do you feel about the DVDRIP I made regarding this condition?
I personally prefer 700MB DVDRIPs since my computer is connected to my TV, so I typically see no reason to download whole 4GB ISOs unless I want to burn them to DVDs and hand them out to people who do not have computers (if you look at statistics then you'll see that dvdrips generally have a way higher download rate than DVD images).
The video in the DVDRIP is exactly the same ("copied exactly"), the bytes are obviously not.
Are dvdrips (cd-size xvid versions) allowed? I don't mind pulling it if it's not, but it would be sad as I am sure it would cause fewer people to download it (not everyones got fast Internet connections and want to download 4GB files, and not everyone uses fancy new computers with terrabytes of harddrive space).
xiando, Many thanks for doing this. I too prefer the 700 MB size,
Christian]

xiando,
Just for everyone's knowledge, the basic torrents have been available for a while. There is additional information, step-by-step instructions, and DVD artwork under the Community tab above: http://www.chrismartenson.com/make-your-...
Thanks.
