Nine years ago, Chris Martenson was an executive with a Fortune 300 company and living with his wife and three children in a five-bathroom waterfront house in Mystic, Connecticut. But based on the future he foresees, Martenson, who holds a Ph.D. and MBA, has opted for a much more sustainable lifestyle, and he now lives with his family in rural Massachusetts in a 1.5-bathroom house.
