Before the holiday festivities begin and you reunite with your families, Becca and I invite all of you to spend some time with our family. We are getting close to our once-a-year seminar in Rowe, MA.
Tucked away in a picturesque mountain setting, the Rowe seminar combines an atmosphere of retreat with a social environment and educational tools to promote action, conversation, and solutions.
This year’s seminar incorporates a number of improvements and new sections, as we increasingly focus on the practical, emotional and community components that help us prepare and envision the change we wish to see.
One of the unique elements of the Rowe experience is the diverse but aligned community it attracts. Becca and I are still in touch with many of the impassioned and articulate individuals who have comprised previous groups from Rowe. As the premier seminar in our home region of Western Massachusetts, we feel a special connection to Rowe, and find it an incredibly valuable resource for regrouping and reawakening to what is possible within a motivated local community.
Time is running out to register, so we hope you will consider joining us for this special, end-of-fall event.

Thank you.
FIxed. It had an extra space at the end....
Chris and Becca,
Sheri and I would love to attend your annual event. I have a proceedure planned to get my shoulder ready for the next 20 years and that will occur on the 19th so we will not be able to be there this year.
Our efforts here in California to spread the Crash Course word are paying dividends in expanding awareness and in building community. We both thank you for your efforts and continued scouting!!!
I will be posting a summary of our 2009 progress for the Brigade as well as our plans for 2010. I'll probably get to that in early December. Have a great event.

I had been planning to register but a very important dairy goat program is taking place on Saturday in Connecticut. Hope I can do it next year. I don't suppose that a one day registration (for Sunday) would be appropriate? I have watched the 3-disk Crash Course several times.
rheba - enjoy the goat workshop! A Sunday only registration will not really work because the group will be a pretty tight unit by then and we'll want to keep it that way.
At Lowesville a number of the participants developed long-term relationships with the people they met and I credit some of that to keeping the weekend 'container' intact.
Coop - we'll miss ya! Can't wait to hear more about your successes and hope to learn from you more about how to be an effective community organizer.
Maybe next year or maybe I'll be out on the west coast at some point.

Chris, I'll be in touch with Megan on this. I would like to arrange a kickoff event in this area for our Transition Initiative and what I hope will be a thriving "After the Chris Martenson Crash Course" community of preparedness. Meanwhile, enjoy your Rowe community event and your New England Thanksgiving in the new diggs".
