As you finalize your winter travel schedule, Becca and I invite you to join us this year for our fourth annual Crash Course weekend seminar. It will be held in Rowe, Massachusetts from February 25-27, 2011.
The recent IEA report stating that the age of cheap oil has already come and gone marks a new phase in the Peak Oil saga. The need to prepare your home, family and community is now more urgent than ever. Making the time to organize your thoughts, align your goals, and emotionally commit to the process of preparation now will prove to be one of the best investments you can make - saving you money, effort, and stress in the future.
Working together in an interactive group setting, we will help you assemble a Crash Course toolbox that helps you apply the concepts of the course into your daily life. You'll learn how to decipher economic and energy news, filtering through media spin to get to the hard facts. You’ll complete a detailed self-assessment and prioritized action list to guide you through your preparation goals. You’ll explore how to discuss these issues with a reluctant partner or family member, and use this knowledge to plant the seeds of community all around you.
Feedback we commonly hear from seminar participants is how much they enjoy spending time with a group of like-minded free thinkers and being able to express and debate views that they otherwise find difficult to share. Many participants leave with new friends and connections after these events - and everyone leaves energized, feeling that they are playing a role in an important movement of historic significance.
To help you get into a mindset of focused preparation without “real world” distractions, the seminar will be held at the Rowe Camp and Conference Center - a picturesque setting, nestled in the woods of a Berkshire Mountains, surrounded by streams and wildlife: a quiet environment for retreat and contemplation, and a weekend getaway all its own.
